The Vermont Welcome Wagon Project is part of a larger community of organizations that serve all Vermonters, new and old. In addition to our regional chapter partners, here you can find statewide and localized resources to navigate your move to and time in Vermont.

Statewide

  • ​Think VT! - A comprehensive resource for folks exploring a move to Vermont

  • VTPOC - The Vermont Professionals of Color Network, whose mission is to build a community and network that promotes, supports, and affirms People of Color in a way that helps them succeed personally and professionally

  • Connect with a Vermonter - Get 1-1 feedback and information from a real Vermonter who can also provide resources customized to you to help make your relocation decisions

  • JobsInVT - Search for Vermont job opportunities

  • Front Porch Forum - A free, community building service in Vermont

Northeast Kingdom (NEK)

​Covering Orleans, Essex, and Caledonia counties, the NEK (pronounced "ehn-ee-kay") pulls together resources for all three rural counties. 

  • Northeast Kingdom Human Services - Comprehensive medical, mental health, youth, and community programs

  • NEK Chamber of Commerce - The NEK's central hub for rural economic and community development, including business services, workforce partnerships, entrepreneurship infrastructure, and regional marketing. 

  • NEK YPN - Young Professionals Network of the Northeast Kingdom hosts regular events and initiatives to help connect businesses and professionals across three counties. 

Southern Vermont 

Serving Bennington and Windham counties, Southern Vermont's chapter of the VWWP is a partnership of the Bennington County Regional Commission and the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation.   

  • Southern Vermont Young Professionals - A welcoming group for people ages 22–45 who live or work in Windham County and want to feel more connected, socially, professionally, and personally

  • Shires Young Professionals - Bennington County's group for young professionals

  • SoVermont Zone - Southern Vermont's central hub for economic development programs and initiatives, including its annual Emerging Leaders

Upper Valley

A unique version of the Welcome Wagon, the Upper Valley local chapter is open to individuals living in both Vermont and New Hampshire, specifically covering Vermont’s Upper Connecticut River and White River Valley regions.

Rutland County

Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR) launched Real Rutland after identifying the need to increase the workforce and overall population in Rutland County to support the necessary business growth. 

  • The Real Rutland - Rutland's version of the Welcome Wagon project with a dedicated concierge to help prospective residents get answers and start building connections. Real Rutland is made up of real people who live, work, and play in Rutland County, Vermont. The entire staff and all of our dedicated volunteers are passionate about this region, and all are proud to call Rutland County home. 

Washington County

The capital county 

  • Montpelier Alive - Mission to sustain and build upon Montpelier’s vibrant downtown community by offering and supporting special events and activities and by promoting City businesses

  • Capital Connection - Montpelier Alive's version of the Welcome Wagon

Chittenden County

Home to Burlington, Chittenden County is the most populated region of Vermont. 

  • Lake Champlain Chamber - Focused on economic opportunity for all Vermonters and serving as a resource to the business community in Chittenden County

  • Hello Burlington - A resource for visitors and new residents alike with events, guides, and more

Addison County

Located in the Lake Champlain Valley and bordered by the Adirondacks to the west and the Green Mountains to the east, Addison County's Welcome Wagon program, Imagine Addision, helps new residents get connected with ease

  • Addison County Chamber of Commerce - A vital resource for the business community by providing governmental affairs programming, educational forums and opportunities to meet other members to create and nurture connections.

  • Imagine Addison - Connect with a local Addison resident to answer questions, or reach out to the concierge to assist with relocation 

Franklin County

From St. Albans to Montgomery, Franklin County bridges communities from Lake Champlain to the Green Mountains, and the farmland in between.

You further waive any and all rights and benefits otherwise conferred by any statutory or non-statutory law of any jurisdiction that would purport to limit the scope of a release or waiver.
